The Jersey Opera House, an iconic cultural landmark, has undergone a significant transformation to restore its historic charm while integrating modern comforts. This extensive refurbishment project aimed to preserve the theatre’s legacy and enhance the audience experience for generations to come.

Project Overview

The refurbishment of the Jersey Opera House was a complex and meticulous endeavour, addressing both structural integrity and aesthetic enhancements. The project focused on:

  • Restoring the building to ensure it is wind and water-tight

  • Upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, including eco-efficient heating

  • Improving accessibility with enhanced wheelchair access

  • Increasing seating capacity to 650 with removable seating options

  • Enhancing legroom and overall audience comfort

These improvements were undertaken to meet modern health and safety standards while respecting the building’s historical significance.
