Connect by Race Furniture is an award-winning collaborative seating solution designed to transform traditional lecture theatres into dynamic learning environments. Developed in collaboration with Burwell Architects and Loughborough University, Connect facilitates seamless interaction between educators and students, promoting active learning and engagement.

The innovative design features repeated bench units and shared tables, maximizing sightlines and allowing for interchangeable teaching styles without the need for reconfiguration. This flexibility enables educators to circulate freely, fostering better interaction and collaboration among students.

  • Customisable Dimensions: Tailor seat height, width, and back angle to fit specific spatial requirements.
  • Diverse Finishes: Choose from a wide range of upholstery styles, natural veneers, and powder-coated frames to match your design aesthetic.
  • Integrated Technology: Incorporate power outlets, data ports, and cable management systems seamlessly.
  • Flexible Configurations: Variable configurations to suit different teaching styles and room layouts.
  • Bespoke Specification Fire testing available upon request
  • All Fabrics conform to BS 5852:2006 Clause 12. Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5): Medium Hazard
  • All Polyurethane Foams are: Combustion Modified High Resilience (CMHR)
  • Typically, seats are all FSC® approved, and contain 80%+ recycled steel content.
  • Race Furniture’s products can be disassembled with standard tools thereby allowing reuse, refurbishment, repair, and recycling of components.

  • Row Spacing: Determined from seating layout and constrained by the requirements of: BS 9999:2017 Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management & anthropometric data for the target user group

Note – These dimensions are for your guidance only. We create bespoke seating based on the product ‘models’ we show here, therefore all dimensions are fully customisable as per your requirements.
