The DA lounge collection – a reissue of Ernest Race’s iconic wingback seating first released in 1946 – embodies elegant minimalism fused with exceptional comfort. Conceived alongside Heal’s of London, this design revolutionised post-war interiors with its anatomical lightness and architectural clarity. Today, the DA and DA6 sofa offer the perfect balance of vintage character and modern longevity, ideal for lounges, libraries, executive suites, and select public spaces.

Despite its sculptural form, DA envelops you in softness. Its polymorphic legs bring visual lightness, allowing the seat to appear as if suspended in space. The understated buttoned backrest, thoughtful proportions, and overall refinement make it a seamless fit for modern and period interiors alike.

Race Furniture’s products can be disassembled with standard tools thereby allowing reuse, refurbishment, repair, and recycling of components.
